This afternoon we went down to the Spit to throw rocks and run on the beach. It's a good thing the boys have mud boots because there is plenty of it. It's the norm for you to take your shoes off almost everywhere here in Homer. Except for maybe Safeway :) (i'm exagerating).

your comment about "taking your shoes off everywhere except maybe safeway" made me laugh 'cause that is what am always trying to explain to people when they comeover. I am just so use to taking off my shoes i find it so dirty when other people dont and they come inside my home. funny how something seems normal if thats the way you were raised and wierd if not.
