We took this picture on the porch of our friend's house right before we put the boys to bed at 8:00. The sun is still up and shining and the mountains have been clear and beautiful all day. Needless to say we have a tricky blanket cover for the window to try and trick them into thinking it's sleepy-nigh-night time.
Other fun news today is that I think we almost have our apartment. A couple more papers to fill out and a credit check but so far it looks like we have it. So far it's the nicest one we've looked at and it has two bedrooms (we've been looking at one bedroom and studios)
Also, Abe applied for a really cool job with the state of Alaska. He would be heading up a team of volunteers to go across the water on a ferry and work on maintaining the trails in the state parks. It would be 4 ten hour work days and he wouldn't get to come home during the work week but then we would have long weekends. It's almost too good to pass up as the pay is also really good. So we have some decisions to make but it sounds hopeful.
Love you all!

Jess and Boys,
Wow we have really loved these pictures, it is so beautiful there. Also that lynx picture is one of the best and only ones I have ever seen by an amature. Please post more we are really enjoying looking at these since they are really our only connection right now. Wish we could visit up there too, it seems exciting.
Post some pictures of your apartment soon ok? what are you guys getting? Furnished? 2 BD? How us Homer? The Sauers said it is really really expensive, true? Give us some examples.
Nathan, Amy, Jack and Madi
So far Homer is really cool. Yeah, somethings are more expensive, anything that has to be frozen or refridgerated to get here. Like a bag of froze corn is on sale for $2.50. Milk is the same and bread and eggs are too.Gas is the same as Spokane maybe a tad cheaper. Other than that the prices are the same as safeway right there at Shadle. We haven't really done a lot of shopping so far but I can tell certain things will be more expensive. Fresh salmon and halibut are free and next weekend we're going claming. Not that I'll be eating a whole bunch of clam...but fun anyway :)
Looks like you all are having lots of fun too. I LOVE that picture of Madi. I'm enjoying this blog thing too. Mom said she's going to get one today.
